While much of the world vilifies us and distorts the truth about same-sex love, America, for all its faults, continues to shift the social paradigm toward equality and justice. The essential issue is not homo-sexuality but the greater issue of love between two human beings. Across many African, European and Asian countries these two natural forces (being human and being in love) have been ripped apart by unnatural religious and political ideologies, which have tried to turn love into hate. There is no greater crime against humanity than this. We shall overcome in time.
